Government and non-governmental organizations are going into brothels and other dark places for rescues. After the rescue, survivors may enter government and NGO homes to meet their needs.

Government data shows that reported cases of crimes against women in India rose by 83%
Official crime statistics for 2016 show women were raped every 13 minutes.
In 2018, over 33 thousand rape cases were reported in India, while approximately one-third of all women in India claim to have experienced some form of sexual crime.
Add to that thousands of reported cases of sexual harassment, stalking, voyeurism and domestic violence.
