Empowering survivors of violent oppression through education.

India is ranked one of the most dangerous countries for women.

Many women and children are impacted by violent sexual oppression including human trafficking, child marriage, rape and sexual exploitation. Government and NGOs conduct rescues in brothels and other hidden locations. Survivors then receive support in government or NGO homes.

At Jeevan Aadhar Pvt. Ltd, we provide transitional care services to survivors in order to prepare them for reintegration and empower them to move forward with their lives.

Statistics

Government data shows that reported cases of crimes against women in India rose by 83% 

Official crime statistics for 2016 show women were raped every 13 minutes.

In 2018, over 33 thousand rape cases were reported in India, while approximately one-third of all women in India claim to have experienced some form of sexual crime.

Add to that thousands of reported cases of sexual harassment, stalking, voyeurism and domestic violence.

At Jeevan Aadhar, we serve survivors of violent sexual oppression.

We serve children of sex workers, and survivors of human trafficking and protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) cases through our partners. Survivors deserve the opportunity to be restored to dignity and purpose. We believe that with care, time and community support, they are able to recover and thrive – living full, restored and reintegrated lives.
